Georgia O’Keeffe initiated herself to move to New Mexico because of the bareness. Even though she spent long years living in New York at the penthouse of the hotel- she called New Mexico her hometown and lived and painted there until her death. I alway thought and was told to do art I need to be in a city for marketing and networking- but never could persuade my inner deep voice because I basically never understood that statement. My art is not for marking or networking- if it was for something beyond that reality, but for myself- a Kingdom for God- connection between souls who need encouragement. Which tracing Georgia’s life all the way in New Mexico was a turning point in my artistic career and my perspective viewing the future of my career as well. I still miss here and would love to go back every summer. For that holy distance between the world- so I could work, work, and be pleased- just like she did.
